Packaging and General Build Quality
The packaging was efficient in that there wasn’t any wasted space and the units were well protected from damage in transit. All the parts that we were expecting were contained inside as per the instructions. The cable braiding is as we have come to expect from Fractal Design – which is excellent. Powdercoat, finish, plastic moulding etc was all perfect and both the S24 and S36 felt like premium products. The only blemish on what would have been a perfect score in this regard was the cheap plastic Socket 115x CPU back bracket. It has sliding receivers for the posts that attach to the water block but they are not notched and it’s fiddly to install. Although it has 2 tape strips, we found that it still didn’t stay in place.
