Reviewed: MSI GTX760 HAWK

The MSI GTX760 HAWK takes a good mid-range GPU and gives it a shot in the arm with an out of the box base clock of 1111MHz (boost clock of 1176MHz). Thanks to the twin 8 pin power delivery, an alternative overclocking friendly BIOS that allows some crazy voltage headroom and a beefy (yet surprisingly quiet) cooling solution, we were able to push this card to 1293MHz when gaming and benchmarking. As a comparison, the “reference design” GTX760 has a base clock of 980 MHz with a boost clock of 1030MHz, 2x6pin power connectors and a blower type heat sink and cooler.

The connectivity is also pretty standard with 2x Dual Link DVI, 1x HDMI (1.4a) and 1x Display Port (1.2).
